Hello. just yesterday before my upgrade to windows 10 on my asus windows 8.1 laptop, my mic was working properly. i was able to to with friends on skype and such.. Go to device manufacturer website and download the latest windows 10 audio drivers for installing them to see if it fix the issue. alternatively, you can update drivers through device manager, if you not tried. to get started, a) open run command by pressing windows key + r and type “devmgmt.msc” (without quotes) and hit enter..
